Training Opportunities

Are you a trainee interested in learning how to undertake a Cochrane Systematic Review?

Cochrane Child Health is housed in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Alberta and is looking for an international student trainee who is interested in learning the detailed methodology associated with conducting a systematic review. The trainee will work with a team of researchers, including a librarian and statistician to assist and learn how to carry out a Cochrane Systematic Review on a topic in child health. Training will include how to: undertake a comprehensive literature search, screen and select literature, assess bias and quality, perform data extraction and analysis, and report on the results. Students are welcome to identify their own topic to work on, or can work on one of the topics prioritized by Cochrane Child Health.

Please note:

To align with Cochrane's Strategy to 2020, preference will be given to interested students from low or middle income countries (LMIC) to help build these countries' local capacity.
